Disclaimer

Any and all rules are subject to change at any point by WoTEL upper management discretion.

Any changes made will be mentioned during the drivers meeting.

General Conduct Guidelines

Chat

  1. Race chat is to be used for race control only inside of the race. (including Chat Box)
  1. Profanity directed towards another will cause you to be booted from the race.
  1. There will be no arguing about who was at fault in the incident. If you can have a civilized discussion or want to apologize that is fine. If you start arguing and being disrespectful, you will be kicked from the race.
  1. It is each individual driver’s responsibility to be able to hear the race director, and admins during the race. It is not the officials responsibility to ensure you heard the drivers meeting or commands given throughout the race. Failure to heed instructions at any point shall result in removal from the server and possible suspension.

On Track Conduct

  1. When you enter the corner, you are aiming for the apex, not the door of the guy in front of you. Over driving the corner and pushing into other drivers will result in a penalty that  include but are not limited to; an EOL, disqualification, suspension, or a ban for the remainder of the series.
  1. During a caution you need to obey what the box on your screen says. If you feel that iRacing has a glitch and you disagree with what iRacing is telling you to do, you can, in a civilized manner, inform the race director.
  1. If you can’t clear a slide job, don’t do it. Slide Jobs are a big part of dirt racing, but if you can’t use discretion and have issues dooring people, you will be removed from the race and or league at the WOTEL leadership’s discretion.
  1. Retaliation is strictly forbidden. Doing so will result in disqualification from the race and up to a two week suspension. Any future occurrences may result in a permanent ban.
  1. Drivers deemed at fault for a caution will be given an EOL (End of Line) penalty by the race admins. Any drivers involved, but not causing the accident, will restart the race wherever iRacing’s scoring places them.
  1. A suspension from one WOTEL series will cover the entire series that we run. Meaning if you are issued a one week suspension for an incident in a late model race, that suspension will carry over to any other series we have racing in that same week.
  1. Admins reserve the right to remove drivers from the race for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to; lag and connection issues.
  1.  After the checkered flag is out drivers are required to pull safely off the track or back to   the pit road. Driver(s) found wrecking their car or failing to attempt to avoid doing so, will receive no less than an EOL penalty in their next race (D, C, B main, or Feature) If after the feature race, driver(s) will be disqualified and credited with a last place finish. Repeat offenses will result in no less than a 1 week suspension.

Cautions

  1. Intentionally bringing out a caution shall result in disqualification from the race. This includes any heat or consolation races, as well as the A Main.
    1. If you intentionally bring out the caution in the A Main, you may be suspended for one week. Repeated offences during the season will result in multiple week suspensensions and possibly a permanent ban.
  1. Cautions will only be thrown in heat races if track is blocked or a false start. No Caution will be thrown once the white flag has been given.
  1. Cautions during the feature race will be iRacing only unless deemed otherwise necessary by the officials.

 Starts ,Restarts,  & Positioning

  1. All starts and restarts are on the leader out of turn 4.
    1. If the leader has not chosen to go by the time iRacing waves the green flag, you may go when the green is waved.
  1. Leader has lane choice after the initial start.
  1. The leader must maintain pace speed of 35 mph.
  1. The rest of the field must remain within one car length of each other. Drivers believed to be laying back to jump the start will result in an admin issued black flag.
  1. Brake checking before restarting the race is also not allowed. This shall also result in a black flag or EOL penalty under the next yellow flag. Repeat offense will result in no less than a disqualification from the race
  1. Jumping the start on a double file start is when a driver is more than one fourth of the length of the car alongside the car starting in front of them. If officials feel there is a jump start the driver will be given a black flag or an EOL penalty, under the next yellow flag conditions.
    1. A front row jump start is when the Outside pole sitter goes before the leader. If this is the case the admin will call the race back and line everyone up in the original starting position and send the driver jumping the start to the rear.
  1. Single file restarts will fire on the leader out of turn four. There shall be no passing before the flag stand and drivers found more than one fourth car lengths or more alongside the car in front  will receive a black flag or EOL penalty under the next yellow flag conditions.

Race Formats

  1. All WoTEL events are in beta heat race. Except when officials deem otherwise.
  1. Cautions in heat races and mains are double file restarts
  1. Feature Race Restarts will be double file until 10 laps to go. Leaders may choose inside or outside lanes for the restart.
    1. If a caution is thrown within one lap of the start or restart, the following restart shall be single file.
    2. When 10 Laps to Go or less all restarts are single file.
    3. Single file restarts will fire on the leader out of turn four. There shall be no passing before the flag stand. Drivers found more than one fourth of a car length beside the car in front of them (this is the nose of the car beyond the rear tire of the car in front) shall receive a black flag or an EOL penalty under the next yellow flag conditions
  1. All WoTEL dirt races will have a 10x incident point limit and no fast repairs.
    1. Any driver(s) receiving 10x incident points will be automatically removed from the race by iRacing and will be reviewed for at fault and not at fault incidents following the race. If a driver is deemed earning all incidents by their own doing that driver will also be suspended no less than 1 week and/or bumped down one series.
  1. Upon the lobby’s launch, the track is closed until two minutes remain in practice.
    1. During this time any driver(s) found cresting the racing surface in anyway will receive an EOL penalty at the start of their heat race. If an official warns them and they continue, the driver shall be removed from the server.
    2. During this wait time the drivers meeting will be held three to five minutes after the lobby is launched.
      1. It is each individual driver’s responsibility to be able to hear the race director, and admins during the race. It is not the officials responsibility to ensure you heard the drivers meeting or commands given throughout the race. Failure to heed instructions shall result in removal from the server and possible suspension.
  1. All race finishes and points standings are unofficial until posted by a WOT League Owner.
  1.  LAP DOWN CARS DO NOT RACE THE LEADER.
    1. ANY DRIVER THAT GOES TWO LAPS DOWN WILL HAVE TO PULL IN THE INFIELD AND YOUR NIGHT IS DONE.
  1. Reckless driving will not be tolerated. An official will first issue a black flag warning letting the driver(s) know we are watching them. The official will then clear the penalty. This is your first warning
  1. Your second black flag for reckless driving will end your night. (This includes heat races and B mains)
  1.  IF A DRIVER IS IN THE PITS DURING GREEN FLAG CONDITIONS, THEY MAY NOT RETURN.
  1. Any driver that qualifies for the feature, and does not start the feature they will receive a 2 week suspension. 2 or more offences is a seasonal ban. This is ruled a wasted starting spot when another driver could have started.
  1. If you feel that at any point something was not caught by an official or you feel an official did not make the right call, you may come to the WoTEL Discord and plead your case with an official.https://discord.gg/BXEZw3m8b7

POST RACE CONDUCT

  1. Directly following the checkered flag, all drivers must make their way safely back towards the pit road. Do not stop on the track! Doing so may result in an EOL penalty starting your next race if infraction occurs during any of the heats, or mains. If infraction occurs following the feature race, driver(s) may receive a disqualification penalty, and/or one week suspension at officials discretion.
  1. Directly following the feature race the top three drivers must continue on around the track to the front straight away and park on an angle to the inside of the track facing the outside wall.
  2. Top three drivers must report directly to the appropriate channel for post race interviews and any other drivers as directed by the race officials as well.
  1. Any driver(s) found involved in a post race wreck with no apparent attempt to avoid the wreck shall be disqualified if infraction occurs following the feature race or recieve an EOL penalty starting their next race if infraction occurs following either the heats or the mains.
